The 2011 Volunteer Fair was a celebration of the work of local charities and voluntary organisations in East Surrey. It took place on Saturday the 5th March with over 50 voluntary organisations and charities attending with stalls and many hundreds of people attending during the day. On this web site you can see a selection of photographs taken on the day and find out more about the organisations who attended. If you are interested in doing some voluntary work, you can find out about how the local volunteer centres can help. Pupils from St. Matthew's Primary School in Redhill provided a number of pictures around the theme of Helping Hands. Click here to see their work. The event was formally opened by East Surrey MP Sam Gyimah who spoke of the importance of the voluntary sector especially in these challenging economic times.
